Is the online request free of charge?
Yes, the online request is a completely free service of Strandscanner. We want to strengthen digital tourism at the North Sea and Baltic Sea and put all our heart and soul into this vision.
If I have made a request, is it likely that it will come to booking confirmation?
We have already contacted many owners and made sure that we can give feedback on your booking request in a close and fast exchange. So if something is free, you have a good chance. Since beach chair renters in the peak season no longer keep up with the requests, there are unfortunately also a few who no longer respond to requests and do not allow advance bookings in the peak season at all or only with very long lead times. We are doing our best to make sure that our platform will soon be perceived as a relief by all beach chair renters. Until then, we hope that you will understand if a request unfortunately does not become a booking.
How safe is it to sit on the beach?
If the beach section is verified, the beach chair owner has confirmed the placement. So it can be assumed then that the information about the location is correct. Otherwise, we have taken great pains to recreate the set-up based on the photos. However, it may be that the installation is not 100% correct.
Can I pay for the beach chair directly online?
Online payments can be made anywhere you see the 💳 symbol. The goal should be a prior payment of course - the cash on vacation you should rather spend on ice cream.
Why are there not yet all beach sections?
Because as a family business we do everything ourselves. We want to keep the costs as low as possible and the quality as high as possible, so we can provide you with strandscanner.de for free. We also want to know what we are offering and what the beaches are actually like. Unfortunately, this costs a lot of time, but it also brings an incredible amount of fun! If you don't want to wait any longer for your favorite beach section and want to help us, then send us 6 meaningful pictures of your beach at [email protected]. We need from an as empty as possible beach, according to our experience between 5.00 and 8.30 o'clock and between 19.00-22 o'clock well feasible, 1. the view of the entrance, 2. the landlord's house, 3. the view to the left, 4. the view to the right, 5. a beach chair from close and 6. another picture. My beach access is missing. How can this be added?
We are working hard to make all beach accesses of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea available on strandscanner.de. Of course, we can be even faster if you help us. Simply contact us at [email protected] and we will get everything started as soon as possible.
I do not like the pictures. How can I add my own pictures?
Soon there will be a separate area where you can log in and manage your master data, pictures and bookings. In the meantime, just send us your desired images to [email protected].
